If you are appointed as liquidator of a succession, you are authorized to clear out the contents of the deceased’s safety deposit box. However, certain documents (birth certificate, proof of death, etc.) must be provided to the financial institution before you can access the box.

You need the authorization of Revenu Québec to distribute the property of the succession.
