If a person received a pension from a foreign country prior to death, the surviving spouse may obtain a surviving spouse's pension. To do so, the certificate of death must be submitted. Before doing anything, however, you should contact the Régie des rentes du Québec for information. Several things must be taken into consideration before the pension can be paid.
