As the surviving spouse or de facto spouse of a war veterans allowance recipient, you may receive a surviving spouse’s allowance and, if you have a dependant child, an orphan’s allowance. Certain conditions apply.
The allowance payments will end if you remarry or enter into a new union. Otherwise, they end on your death.
